COWBOY WESTERN WAGON WHEEL COUCH SET - 10 PCS, TX

(Item: 2534)

Fabulous colors, fabulous graphics, fabulous condition - 10 pieces of cowboy folk art 1950's wagon wheel set.  This set consists of a gorgeous couch in tan naugahyde with a graphic I have never seen before on the back, a chartreuse green rocker with a stitched horse on it, a tan club chair with a longhorn cow on it, and an ivory rocking chair with a prairie schooner on the back.  There are two end tables, and a large coffee table, and two darling McCoy cowboy boot lamps with - gasp - photo shades from the 1950's which are nearly perfect in condition.  This is the "big" wagon wheel set.  Heavy.

Lots of pictures of each piece below.  The couch folds down and makes into a bed!   Has storage under the seat.  The graphics on it are stitched in and consist of the prairie schooner on one end, and a cowboy watching cattle on the other end.  It is 84" Long.

The arms on all the pieces are in great shape.  There is a little smudge on one end table.  The tops on the all the tables are nearly perfect --- for after how many years of use???  Seventy? Really!!!

This set was made by the Economy Furniture Company of Austin, Texas.  It was purchased by the seller in North Dakota as all one set.  It is located in El Paso, Texas now.  Nice trip to do a personal pick up.

The photo shades on the lamps were actual photographs of ranch scenes in the fifties, and the pictures were transferred to WW2 x ray paper.  Very fragile.  But each has survived and makes this set really special.  The little cowboy boot lamps are made by the famous McCoy Pottery Company in the 1950's also.  Some of you may have the cookie jar that matches them!

They are china - and not chipped!  One boot lamps has a square photo shade, and the other boot lamp has a round shade.  So preetty with the lights on showing the pictures in technicolor!
